Is it just me....But whenever I decide to make a cake for no reason, it turns out perfectly.

Cake basically falls straight out of the tin...
Fondant goes straight on, with no lumps, bumps or tears....
Basically a fab cake without even trying.

But as soon as I have to make a cake for someone else, it all seems to fall apart... Literally.

Not sure if it's because I know I'm on a deadline or just because I try too hard to make it perfect.

But it always seems to happen.

Anyway, after lots of stars to cover the pin holes (when I had to pop the air bubbles) the cake looked presentable. And the birthday boys were happy:)
